                  That's EXACTLY what it's doing. It's literally running **** over your eye like a lawnmower, cutting a circular flap in your eye that they can pull away.

                          I try to avoid this kind of material, but yeah, it's disgusting as fuc. I've seen a LOT worse trauma though, I'm not gonna post it because it's NSFW.

                                  I've heard about it vaguely (I have poor vision myself), but never knew how gruesome it looked...

                                              I had Lasik eye surgery. It you don't feel a thing during the operation and it takes about 10 minutes to do. Only, I had lasers cut my eyes instead of a blade.

                                                      i remember like two years ago my dad had a cataract in his left eye. my family went to the office where the surgery to clear it was taking place, and they actually had cameras set to the tv and we watched it happen live it was actually very similar to this video
