    Really bad problem

I restarted my laptop, and went to a friend's house. I got back a few hours ago, and I turn it on, and it's lagging for no reason. There's about 75GB of free space left, if that matters, and the only things I have running is this browser of FFR, and Windows Media Player. It's even lagging when I type, does anybody have a solutions, or anything that could've caused this? I just deleted about 2GB of things, restarted, and the problem's persisting.

    Edit: Fix'd. :3

Clear your cache etc. If it's your computer try defragmenting it.

What I ended up doing was turning it off, going to the router, unplugging it for about a minute, replugging it in, make myself a sandwich, go back to my laptop, turn it on, and voila. It was fine, but thanks anyway.

              Three things:

              1. Install CCleaner (It's free) and clean your registry. Look at your startup programs in CCleaner and make sure there's nothing you DON'T want to start up when you start your computer. If there is, disable it.
              2. Install AVG Free and do a virus scan.
              3. If all else fails, boot up the CPU in Safe Mode and repeat the first two steps.

Edit: Crap, just read what happened. Still, I highly suggest you do the above anyway. You have no idea of how much it helps.
