I've blocked them, but I feel no guilt doing so given that I'm a subscriber.
I think the type of ads should be carefully looked at; this is a 13+ site, so "adult" ads strike me as inappropriate. I'm sure something can be worked out to remove adult ads and damaging ads (as in, linked directly to websites full of malware).
Since I can't see them, I don't know if FFR is using Google Ads. They've always seemed clean and unobtrusive to me..
