I didn't think Android would ever become anything important.

Nice to see Apple potentially being knocked down a peg. I can't stand their business model, and I'm not too appreciative of the way they handle their brands. And that's to say nothing of my disdain for their software and dislike of the look and feel of their operating system.

But yeah, every dollar that Google has that Apple doesn't is a good thing in my opinion.

If Google pushes hard enough, it should make some sort of impact.

PS - Afrobean, seriously? Maybe it's because I'm in the business, but I prefer to take things seriously. Apple is simply a computer manufacturer that caters to a certain audience. Nothing more, nothing less. They're not god, and they're not the devil, so to speak. If anything they're driving development, with other companies constantly trying to top them. Until Apple has a monopoly and begins beheading puppies and putting them on spikes, I'd suggest you stop crusading. Of course, you're entitled to think what you want, and say what you want, but it's just completely pointless to rail against a manufacturer for their business practices especially when virtually every other company on the market is emulating them for their success. What do you suggest next, a boycott on all consumer electronics?

If phones gain the flash capability, will FFR make little USB keys buttons that people can plug in to their phones and play FFR with??? XD

It's nice to see Google step up to the plate. It sounds like 'Android' here may have a lot to offer, considering the beta applications already in development and released.
That bar code search thing sounds pretty cool.

On a more personal note, I never liked Apple. Their ethics, what they stand for, and how they got to where they are today by breaking all the rules.
Watch this thing out sell the iPhone.

The Operating System made by Google is called Android, and the first cell phone it will be released on will be the HTC-Dream, which is going to be T-Mobile exclusive, and only available on the 3G network.

I think what google has on its mind in releasing Android is not just to outsell the iphone which has dominated cell phones recently, but more to open up an operating system for future apps on many different phones.
