Arch as a mod

This is bullshit. By making arch a mod you've effectively made the whole forums 10x more strict. He's already needlessly locked topics, and as a point, if you lock this Arch, it'll prove just how bad of a mod you are.

Half the board hates him, and with good reason. He hates half the board. With him as a mod now, he has the ability to edit and delete things that he personally finds offensive.

If he were limited to the simfiles, that's fine, but he should not be a mod for the forums. Never.

Oh my god...I am truely scared...although honestly, and I really don't want to say this...maybe this is a good thing? I mean we've all been clamouring for more mods, and Arch is going to be strict enough to take care of modding. I don't think he'll edit a lot of posts unless they're really innappropriate, since none of the other mods do that, and if he goes really lock happy then Synth and the others will take some action as well. I say we give Arch a chance, he might be exactly what we need.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Browse other sites with actual mods that do their job and quit bitching. This isn't a power trip, this isn't a joke, this isn't your nonserious postwhore crap that you spew out that you can get away with because none of the mods have any free time to mod your posts or take the time to go on other sites and know what a good mod is.

No, that's just your safety net excuse so if I have multiple reasons to lock this topic you can use basic psychology to say "OMG IF YOU DO THIS YOU SUCK" to try to prevent it from getting locked because you obviously think you are above any kind of moderation and want to continue a no-rules immaturity fest.

No, I don't hate half of the board. I dislike maybe 5 people on here, max. That won't get in the way of doing my job.

Let's list reasons why this thread should be locked:

1) There was a topic to discuss this already. I advise you to look at it and honestly think to yourself "Do I really think this thread will stay up even though there is an exact same topic about this right on the exact same page? Do I really think he will make an exception to the rule JUST FOR ME? No, it won't stay up and no, he wouldn't."

2) I quote from the original topic "In general, threads that get really out of hand will be locked. YES, FLAMING HERE AND THERE OCCASIONALLY IS ALLOWED, HOWEVER if a thread turns into a 3+ page flame war or has the potential to then it will be locked." which explains that this is a perfect example of a topic that will turn into a flame war.

3) If you have a problem, contact me about it personally. Don't make a topic about it so you can get support of makaveli and a few of your other little friends to make a small riot of how you guys don't think I should be a mod because you dislike me and just want to find a reason. There's plenty of sites where people don't like the mods, like twen or Sl1p on bemanistyle. Big deal, get over it.

You, makaveli, and maybe Lupin or a few others (no more than a single digit number) will probably be the only people against it because you all cannot listen. Every other person I've talked to about it has been absolutely peachy with it and thought it was a good thing, and even if their topic is locked they will understand why.

You need to understand why.
