Need Help.

I just had to reformat my whole computer and now it's without drivers. I reinstalled everthing I needed, from network to DirectX to Flash and got it all up and running now the only thing that gives me problems is the sound. I am using a CreAtive 2.1 2600 Slim Speaker system and I have the drivers installed but it gives me an error, here's a picture of my problem:

Please help me.

Have you tried clicking "update driver" and seeing if the internet will automatically update it?

Is it an internal audio card, onboard audiocard or some USB speaker stuff?

Yes, this is how I got the drivers.

And Zag, I do not know, I'm sorry. Anyway to find out besides opening the PC up?
But it's not USB Speakers, they're connected to my base which then goes into the audio plug of the PC. (Green)

Try uninstalling the driver and then installing it.

Uninstalled the old Drivers and Reinstalled the new ones and got this error:

That happened before when the old drivers where still there and I tried to install the new ones too.
[And yes I restarted and ran setup again and the error was repeat]

Store and just like I said, I had reformatted my computer and now everything works perfectly except sound. I can try to unplug my hardware, install the drivers and reconnect it otherwise I am out of ideas.

Poleaxe: I added 2GB of RAM and an nVidia GeForce 8600GT and A Destop Card, that is all.

I haven't added anything to mine so that is a lot for me.

CBR, this happened with my upstairs computer, and ill be honest, i gave up.

i tried everything and my speakers never started working again, but my headphones still worked fine for some reason.

if you find a solution, could you tell me?

Bump, still need help and of course I will help others if I find a solution.

I got Microsoft UAA High. Def Bus Drivers and the IDT drivers seem to run on it yet the device can not start (see picture 1, nothing has changed except the location has changed to Microsoft UUA High Def. Hub).

Come on, there must be people who can help. The last week has been torturous without any sound. (No, headphones don't work either.)

Maybe it's not IDT drivers I require (even though MS Update DL's them automatically for me) How could I check which Sound drivers I need?

I browsed my computer model at the Dell Support Page and downloaded and tried all sound drivers and I finally found one that works. Thank god, the pain of no sound is over
