It may not be a regional thing, could be a school board decision. Thanks dashoe, the school district I'm in just cancels the buses (my school covers 7 to 12, so the younger grades use the generic yellow bus) regardless if the roads clear up in an hour or two. Though it rarely happens, as the transportation is only called off if it's snowing heavily or the roads are covered in ice.

Fix'd because I realized it sounded like school was canceled.

Heh, yeah we just stay home if the roads are bad and buses are cancelled. The school is open so it counts as a regular school day but only a few people will actually go.
