What happened to Engler's School of FFR? That was a great grading system. Did it die? I never thought it would die.

Come to think of it, where is Engler? Does he still use the site, or did he "retire"?

Also, I was thinking about making another FFR Ranking System (not a remake of the popularity thing, but something similar to Engler's, but with more FC's and AAA's b/c of the more added songs).

The only "grading system" that should be used is Jimerax's one that is a sticky. The rest are pretty much useless.

Also, if you remade a thread that has been locked twice, regardless of how slight the difference, it would probably still be locked again. Try to think twice before making threads.

EDIT: Yes, I am. There should be no such thing as "grading" a member based on any variable. A member should be based on everything he or she does within the community. Their posts and general demeanor and all of that. There should be no singular grading system.

The only time a grading system works is in relation to something that is actually quantifiable, which in this case is a persons' skill in the game.

please stop making threads like this or asking about this. if you wanted to find Engler's thread... all you had to do was search for it. vB has decent search functionality.

and we have tons of ways to rank users. just none that work decently to combine them all into 1 method. nor should there be one. different people strive for different stuff. overall rank, average rank, AAAs, FCs, profile votes, profile views, forum posts, friends, yada yada.

no subjective system will ever be worthwhile.
