switching to firefox...

the lag has beaten me.
i was going throught the whole dance genre and i was failing the easiest songs ever !!!

and i play on 1.50x so its rly hard to AAA anything wow..
will switching to firefox fix it?
is it vista?
am i just bad?

I don't know what the hell you guys are talking about, but I've had extensive use of both XP and Vista, and all of my personal use computers are now running Vista as a result of my experiences. I had a big problem with system lag, and with an install of Vista, all my problems disappeared, in part because of improved driver support for some of the hardware I'm using. Yes, better drivers.

So the answer is no, you are not losing performance simply because you are using Vista. I prefer Firefox as a browser, but that should do nothing to affect your performance on FFR. More likely it is your internet connection or the performance of your hardware.

I hate to sound high and mighty, but I own a computer building business. I know plenty about hardware and software. Vista is fine, and your worries are for naught. Deal with it and get over the propaganda.

Granted, maybe with the proper specs Vista can run FFR just fine. But I'm going to concur with the majority of the FFR populous when they say that XP > Vista for FFR.

In response to the thread creator, Firefox 3 should help you out on FFR a bit. If you're still experiencing lag, try playing lower quality.

Ya, i am currently on Vista, no anti virus program, free for viruses, or anything, and my com had been completely fine. I download all kind of crap that could bring viruses, still no viruses though. I dont know why everyone ****es about Vista. You all who say Vista suck just have a crappy vista computer. So dude, just get FF for your computer and you will most likely play better then IE. IE is mainly meant for XP.

Based on what specs does XP outperform vista when running a flash app? I'm very much interested in the specs. It's not a matter of opinion. I want concrete information, not "he said she said they said it sucked".

I don't even think you understand what I meant by your hardware performing well enough. And what exactly does "okay internet" mean?

Go learn something about computers because some of us require fact instead of propaganda-influenced assumptions.
