What computer classes do you have at your school?

Mine is retarded as hell. I have some overweight prick who has no idea what he is doing. Right now we are "keyboarding" and resizing clip art....

The first assignment was to get a trophey clip art, and put our name in it. Thats all we've done so far.

We have a class that gives you all that. We have C++ trianing, computer troubleshooting, internet web page maker. keyboarding, um...and some other stuff. I know there's more than that, cause we have a lot.

We HAD a nice set of courses, but now it has been reduced to CIW, CIS, Multimedia, Visual Basic, and the regular comp classes.

Before this year, we also had Cisco I - IV, Business I & II, HTML, and Video authoring.

Grade 10 - Computer Science (Learn Turing from an incompentent teacher)

Grade 11 - Computer Science (Learn VB from a good teacher)
Grade 11 - Computer Technology - (Learn to make computers, didn't take the course, don't know much about it)

Grade 12 - Computer Science (Learn Java, taking it next year)
Grade 12 - Computer Technology - (Learn to make computers, have no clue what's different from grade 11 version since I'm not taking either)

Last year it was required for everybody to take Computer Applications, which sounds like your class, Bean. We learned typing (whohoo, I never knew how to do that!!!), powerpoint (holy fucking god!), excel (yay), etc...but the next two years I'm taking Cisco I and II, where I'll learn Networking, some basic programming, and how to get really good at Starcraft and Counter Strike. Supposedly that's all you do the entire time, which just sounds awesome.

I am taking computer literacy...well, I will be next year. Only because I need my tech credits and a semister course.

All it is Word, Excel, and Powerpoint I believe. For some reason, I have a feeling that that class is going to piss me off.

Most likely because it's designed for idiots that are too effin' stupid to figure out computers on their own.

We have multimedia based computer classes at my high school. Currently I am in Graphic Communications. FlashMX, photography, silk screening...all good stuff. There is also Multimedia Production. Macromedia stuff, music creation, 3d modeling etc.

Multimedia production has a lot of cool crap, but you get no help from the teacher. You have to teach yourself.

I tested out of the computer literacy class. The keyboarding crap. Whatever the hell you do in there. I took this horrible test from the 80's that was easier than your mother. So I got the credit of a whole year class in 10 minutes. Score.
