Where Should the 2016 Olympics Be Hosted?

It's gonna be 8 years until the 2016 Olympics, but I've already seen that Beijing is not the best place for Olympics (pollution and other factors). I just want to know where you think the 2016 Olympics should be held in order to maximize the global influence (the U.S. is out of the question b/c they hosted it in 1996 (Atlanta)). Also, Greece (2004) and Australia (2000) are not being considered. Which area would maximize the viewers and the excitement of the Olympics and set the standards for years to come?

Has Brazil ever hosted the Olympics (I don't keep up on it)? Maybe they should hold the 2012 Olympics in Rio De Janiero.

Maybe I should just change the title of this thread to 2016 Olympics, because Chicago would be a better place for Winter Olympics.

EDIT: A quick search on Google says the 2012 Olympics will be in London.

For the 2016 Summer Olympics, the current four cities with the highest bidding points are Tokyo, Japan; Madrid, Spain; Chicago, United States; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

No..Brazil has never, Japan has hosted the Olympics once (Tokyo), Spain once (Barcelona), the United State four times (St. Louis, LA twice, and Atlanta),

If the Olympics were hosted in Chicago, I'd probably go. I don't know where I'll be in 8 years though, so it's about 50/50.
