    ATTN: Hardware Driver Problems

My problem is with my sound card. It is an Auzentech X-Plosion DTS Connect and the drivers on its driver CD are faulty in that they crash my games now. I've isolated it to be only the sound card drivers so I know it's them. Now, I've updated to the newest drivers for the card and now, the games all run flawlessly but..... I don't have sound... WTF........... New drivers and no sound. What did I do wrong, please assist.

Try a System Restore (XP/Vista). Those drivers may have created a restore point in case something like this happened. Alternatively, just google it, and if you're lucky, someone will have experienced the same problem as you, and if you're even luckier, someone will have the solution.

      Interesting.

Try going to Device Manager, finding your sound card, and uninstall the device. Reboot when it tells you to. Then try to install the latest drivers from the website.

This happened to my video card where I updated to the latest and my resolutions were messed up to the point I could only go 800x600 at some crappy color setting.

All I can think of is that there were some conflicts when installing the latest drivers. Hope this helps.
