    Laptop Trouble

So, a few minutes ago, my laptop said "Low Battery", so I go to plug it in, and it's fine. I go back to the Power Meter, and it still says 6%. The current power source is: AC Power, but it doesn't say charging. If I unplug it, then re plug in the power cord, it says charging for about 5 seconds before disappearing.

EDIT: Never mind, it's charging...for now, but this has still never happened to me, and the laptop is new.

I did that, but it still hadn't been working, I don't know what the problem was/is.

        Re: Laptop Trouble

Could be a problem with your ac cord, a broken wire or something that is stopping power going through to charge the laptop.

I know because I've had one do that before and you had to hold the plug in the laptop to charge it.

Had a similar problem when I was in Italy for 2 weeks...

...except we found out that the power chord was broken AFTER it burned a hole in the power bar. We managed to get a universal one at an electronics store and it's working perfectly for me.

But let me tell you, this is a warning to you. Before I left, the power cord would sometimes randomly disconnect or not even work at all. It took a few smacks at it to work it, but it eventually ended up as stated above.

That happened with my phone yesterday. I took the battery out and put it back in again and it resumed normal charging.

Maybe you could try that, or maybe it's not that simple.
