Rap is popular because it's popular and that screamo (read DJS's comment) is what people listen to so other people can look at them and go "oh mah gawds that guy iz hardocre 2 da maXX". This is just my opinion, sorry if this starts a flame war. I just simply can not comprehend how people like the sound of somebody screaming...at all. Rap is a bit more understandable but it's just very boring for me and most people listen to it for the lyrics which are negative anyway :/

I'd rather listen to a guy screaming than a guy talking about all his bitches and hoes. I can't relate to having a lot of money, gold, cars; I can however relate to going through hard times and screaming it out. I don't listen to hardcore music so people can look at me and be all like "gawd he iz hardcore" I'm in no way hardcore looking.

loool oh my god. "christian metalcore" is not a genre on its own. what MAKES it christian is obviously the lyrics and nothing else, otherwise its just metalcore.
