Just kidding, but seriously, its a girl that you were talking to. Everything you say to girls, they are going to take it seriously. I could see why you could be trying to joke with her, but to me it didn't really seem like you were joking. Not the greatest sarcasm.

PLUS, this is text chat, you can't put expressions, emotions and or accents in text speak. Maybe if you italicized then people could get the point, but you can't look at someone talking in text and say "He has a British accent!"

Also, I could be talking to you and say that I'm your long lost uncle. ON my side I could be laughing my ass off, and on your side you could be taking it seriously and freakin' out. Its the internet, not real life. You couldn't exactly do that if you were face to face.
