I don't think you understand. This post reeks of homophobia, whether you think it does or not. Imagine, for one second, the improbable situation that 98% of the world is gay, and you're among the 2% who are straight. THEN think about the implications of somebody making this sort of thread. Even if you're not looking to pick up... wouldn't you want to know who else is suffering minority status like you?

Also, randomly searching FFR profiles isn't reasonable because first of all, statistically, it's going to be hard to find someone who's gay anyway, and SECONDLY, I don't think most homosexuals put their sexual orientation in their profile, the same way most straights won't say they're straight. It's not the primary thing they're thinking about when they're making their profile. And there's no slot for "sexual orientation".

Remember that gays are people like you. They wake up, put pants on, eat breakfast, go to work/school, have families, have friends... there is only one minor difference.

I was just using that as a popular example. Okay. So I post about food a lot. I'll be even more brazen about it than this guy, expressing my devotion toward perogies. You think if he expressed his love for men anyone woudl let him get away with it?

There's a thread currently on the first page entitled "What ice cream do you like?" or something like that. Make them go to an ice cream-lovers website if you feel this way.

Do you see my point?

FFR's not a dating website but wanting to meet other gays isn't always about dating. Just like the fact that even though this is a co-ed website, every time a girl and a guy talk about something, it doesn't mean they're trying to **** each others' brains out.

Be reasonable here. There's no reason why people should be disgusted by a gay guy asking if there are any other gays here.
