I don't really like the idea of metal attached to a person. I am against all piercings except those socially desirable and common in western culture. In other words, I'm a sheep.

I think you should do it. And I'm not just saying it because I have one. If you don't like it, you take it out and no big deal.
I personally enjoy the clinking sounds every time I go to take a drink out of a glass. Haha.

Well it's tradition for women to wear earrings, so I'm okay with that. I don't like them anywhere else.

I say dont pierce any part of your body...
piercing is bad because one if you sleep with it on it
can damage your body badly. and 2 if you leave any
type of piercing un attended for a long time it will
close up again. which means you need more needles inside
of you to open it.
