Wouldn't you just type "about:config" in the URL bar like you did with FF2?

Name it

nglayout.initialpaint.delay

Then set the value to 0.

Actually, any number above 6 for that is pointless because Firefox only loads a max of 6, after that it just only loads some small amount of data (I forget what) and makes it run a bit slower actually.

I was using the BETAs for FF3 and in comparison to FF2 it runs flash in general much more efficiently. :] The full version is quite a bit better too!

It will load pages that are linked to the page you're viewing, so it loads about as fast as just refreshing the page you're viewing.

I cant find any difference in game play

Really disappointing.
Edit: it sucks, huge lag spikes
probably going back to ff2.

I would have downloaded earlier, but Metal Gear Solid 4 awaited at my friends place and that game is somewhat more epic than downloading a web browser. At least I think it is. Though I still downloaded it within the 24 hours so two good things in one day ^^


EDIT: Strangely I also get this lag during gameplay with Firefox. I don't know if it did it with other versions as I never really did try with version 2 or 1. Anyone would know how to fix this slight lag that pops up from time to time?

For me, the lag spikes have gradually started going away. Also, they never happened on every song even when I first downloaded it, so everyone should be able to put up with them until they stop.

You did contribute to the record as it was from June 17th 10 am pacific time to June 18th 10 am pacific time. Thus, now I know why they didn't specify when the 24 hour thingy began. Even I didn't know this until I tried to download it around midnight when the 24 hour thingy would normally start.


EDIT: 7,565,386 downloads......wow, and still 20 minutes to go :P
