If you're good enough at the arrow keys, then spread won't take some much time to get used to. Probably half the time it takes to get used to solo most of the time.
I've been playing spread for the past 2 years I think, and I'm 929 overall.
It took me a week or so to get used to the feeling when I switched from one-handed to spread. Then I got really good.

Overall just shows you have played a lot, and getting 929 in 2 years is not that great, sorry.
To the rest of you, its not like spread is godly way to play FFR and the only way to be good. Some people just feel more comfortable playing it. Theres also songs where you wont be good at.
You can look at all the top FFR players and see which ones play spread/index just index or just spread. Talk to them and get an idea on why they use what they use, then try out all the styles for yourself.
