Riddle, can you figure it out?

This is a riddle, but a very user creative riddle. I will give a few phrases that fit the pattern. So every phrase has the same pattern. It is up to you to figure out the pattern and make up your own phrase...type it in and I will tell you if it works. Please if you figure it out don't post it on the forum, tell someone via PM not the forum.

Ok well I'll start it off with a few of the phrases that I have made up.

You can have wheels but no skateboard.
You can have eggs but no carton.
You can have a tree but no dirt.
You can have roots but no heritage.
You can have feet but no toes.
You can have balloons but no party.
You can say Hello but not Hi.
You can have Betty but no Crocker.
You can have Tissues but no sneeze.
You can have coffee but no cup.

Keep in mind that the phrases above do not combine to one big riddle to be solved. You just have to solve the pattern to the sentences or phrases above and come up with you own. I will edit and add more as I think of them. Post what you think will work and I will tell you if you are right.
