One possible thing to do is to contact your ISP. If you're using a wireless connection, re-check all that stuff.

There are four steps in an Internet connection diagnostic.

1) Computer. Try other computers in the house if you have multiple computers hooked up to the Internet. Try another computer with your network cable. It might just be PC settings.

2) Router. Make sure it's plugged in and working. Reset if necessary.

3) Modem. Make sure it's plugged in and working. Reset if necessary.

4) ISP. Make sure nothing's wrong on their end. Call if necessary.

1-3 don't work. It's a temporary solution, as in, rehooking everything will leave everything stable for another hour. Then, it'll destabilize again. Buying new products results the same way.

I'd rather leave my internet as is now than call people I don't know.

EDIT: Another problem as frequent as this one. My internet speed goes from 150MBps -> 54MBps -> 48MBps -> 36MBps -> 24MBps -> 18MBps -> 9MBps -> 1MBps (no internet motion whatsoever). I reset everything, and the cycle will repeat itself again. The cycle itself lasts for about a day, and most of it resides on the 48MBps region. However, I can't play SMO and MPFFR if my internet keeps slowing down so randomly without recovery. Help? At 1MBps, I can still use AIM properly. Also, during all this, the wireless signal remains the same. It's probably something with my laptop itself. =/

I've had to call my ISP maybe once ever, and they were a) awesome and b) fixed everything from the phone.

My parents don't see the purpose of the internet so I usually use the schools, then librarys, or my friends computer.
