i was wondering what you guys thought about how he was taken off the air in those 6 cities... regardless of whether you like the show or not... whether you think its right to blame him for something that someone who called in said, and whether this is just clear channel trying to get the fcc off their back due to all the recent issues theyve had.

a caller called in on his show and said "the n word" and he immediately hung up on him, but the people at clear (one of the major radio companies, who broadcasts sterns show) suspended the stern show this morning in six different cities, miami, orlando, louisville, san diego, and pittsburgh...

It's because of all of this Justin Timberlake BS too, the FCC is cracking down hard on any violations and the networks don't want to have to pay.Comment

yea apparently clear had something to do with MTV and the superbowl too... but i personally dont think that that should make the show responsible for what a caller said... regardles of all the issues that have been around lately.Comment

I've never listened to Howard stern in all honesty. But the fact that it was a caller, they should go after the caller.
And don't think they can't. With all the technology and what not om opur world today someone could easily find out what i had for lunch five weeks ago.Comment

the reason theyre goin after stern is because the show is kind of raunchy to begin with, i mean, grant it i think its funny as all insanity... but thats exactly the point, he didnt over step the boundaries... the caller did... its just easier to say "the caller wouldnt have said it if it wasnt the howard stern show!"Comment

Howard Stern has taken crap all of his career.
No, it's not fair that his show is getting messed with because of a caller, but the company does have to cover it's own ass. They'll put the show back on eventually, they have to, it's one of the most popular radio shows in existence (if not THE most popular) and someone will steal him from them if they don't. I'd rather see the company keep the FCC off howard's back than have them let the FFC have their way with him

Yeah, didn't he have one episode where he screwed a girl up the pooper on the show? And there was another one where he gave a bunch of girls implants, then felt them up to see the improvements, and the other one where they invited a stripper onto the show to try and turn all the guys on, then they all went in the back and measured their wangs to see how big they were...the reason theyre goin after stern is because the show is kind of raunchy to begin with
Funny? Yeah. But also incredibly raunchy. It's really no suprise they took it off...it sucks, yeah, but I'm suprised this is the first problem they've had.Comment

and the whole doin girls on the show... i highly doubt cuz i dont think they can even SAY anal on the show anymore.
personally i think the raunchy part is what they have a lot of people on the show do for cash and plugs... it gets kind of disgusting at times.Comment

I dont like howard stern
but then again i dont hate him
he does crazy stuff, but its his show
i respect those stations that took him off the air. What it has done is just created more steam for stern, more contraversy
i mean, u still hear about that halftime thing, and it was almost a month ago
this is a short term thing though, it will pass in 2 weeks time
