    Audio Recording Program

I'm looking for a program that records audio from the computer speakers.

It must be just audio. Hence, camstudio is out of the question. (I couldn't find a function where the video wasn't recorded.) No, audio extracted from videos can't be used in my case. Also, camstudio lags the other programs that I have to use simultaneously.

Any freewares? Lagless, and saved as mp3 would be great.

Yes, Audacity. Just import an MP3 or record it through microphone.

No23 recorder used to be good. Haven't used it in years though.

            Re: Audio Recording Program

What I am trying to do is record my bms player so I can get an mp3 file from .bms files. I'm not trying to import an mp3 and tweak it, or record external sound outside the computer through a microphone.

As for audacity, I don't know how to record audio generated from the computer speaker, and I don't know how to export the music as an mp3 file.

            Trying others.

No23 worked. Thanks guys. *goes to step Yuuyu's bms songs.

Volume Control > Properties > Recording > Wave Out Mix

Select Wave Out Mix in the dropdown box in the top corner in Audacity.

with audacity, its all about having your microhone lines turned off and your stereo lines turned on so it records your speakers and not your microphone, I do it a lot with music selections I find on youtube and such

                    Re: Audio Recording Program

I often had the same problem, with a similar solution. Is there any other way to extract audio from a bms?

There must be some tool to compile the keysounds from the original song, but I remember searching endlessly with no avail in the past.

EDIT: Alright decided to search more, and found this. Yet to try it out.

K works like a charm, easy to figure even though it's Japanese. If you use to to create a song for SM however, you will have to convert the produced WAV to mp3, which is very easy.
