Re: Japanese Music
Dir en Grey seem to be pretty popular now, they aren't half bad.
They are plenty weird enough to stay interesting, but I must warn you, it's heavy.
I really never understood the obsession with Japanese music alone, especially J-pop.
We're all human beings, I don't see why people can become infatuated with music from a certain region of the world unless there is a unique style or they know the language well enough to understand what the lyrics mean.
Most of the pop from Japan sounds exactly like american R&B/pop.Last edited by arsonistsgetallthegirls; 04-17-2008, 12:20 PM.one hand, no mercy...

Flow. I love them. Good place to start.
Also, Do as Infinity.
Yea I agree. I always put them under the same genre. J-Rock or whatever is a sub genre to me, however.Dir en Grey seem to be pretty popular now, they aren't half bad.

Re: Japanese Music
The 'g' in 'grey' is lowercase.
Anyway... B'z. They have approximately 300 songs (like one or two suck) spanned over 20 years and are still going. Google them if you want I guess.
Edit: And the singer (Koshi Inaba) can actually sing in English! Not a common feat in Japanese music (Dir en grey is the PERFECT example for this).Last edited by DarkbearX; 04-17-2008, 12:35 PM.Comment

Re: Japanese Music
i can easily distinguish j-rock/j-pop from american junk as long as its not generic.
as nyokou suggested, i've sound is pretty good
mosaic.wav is good as moches said, but it's moe j-pop. if you're like white-washed or anything, you probably won't be able to stand it
utada hikaru, ayumi hamasaki, hitomi shimatani, kotoko, mell, mosaic.wav (j-pop)
the gazette, dir en grey, malice mizer are pretty awesome (j-rock)Originally posted by DossarLX ODIWhat's the point of using drugs anyways? I heard they help you relax but that's pretty much it. (Not talking about medicines)Comment

Instead of taking her out to a movie and buying her popcorn, bend her over the arm of a couch. It's very economical. Just make sure you are using the proper protection, because then it can become VERY, VERY GOD DAMN UNECONOMICAL if she pops a baby 9 months down the road.Comment

Vocaloid feats are half the rage on nicovideo. Neat stuff. OSTER Project, livetune, Ryo, and Kz are some popular upnames on nicovideo. I'm a vocaloid artist too.Any FFR song title discrepancies? List them here.
