LSD made me do it

When I was in my sophomore year of undergrad at Northwestern, someone had an idea to prank a ton of unsuspecting people. There is a type of LSD that is absorbed through the skin, all you have to do is apply it to a surface and someone who touches it enough will absorb enough through their skin to get messed up on the LSD.

Well some prankster decided to rub this LSD all over a handrail in a main stair well of the engineering building. That night a freshman engineer stumbled into the dorm at about 5 in the morning drenched in mud. When asked where he'd been he replied that he remembers going to class but it's a complete blur after that until coming out of the fog being treated in a hospital after being found in a ditch staring into space. He told us that the hospital had found at least 30 other students that had been found in similar fashions after coming in contact with LSD.

Fun story.

If by "fun story" you mean "grossly negligent act of psychological assault." I really don't see how anyone could find that amusing.

Oh, it was totally horrifying at the time. But looking back it's one of those "lol college" stories to me. I'd probably think differently if I had been one of those in the hospital, but I try to take things light-heartedly.

Come on man, try to have at least a little sense of humor.

While it's certainly a worthy prank, I am hard-pressed to find its humorous value. But, I'll give it that much.

I've never taken a hallucinogen but it's my understanding that unless you're in a calm environment and are comfortable with taking the hallucinogen that it's pretty much a one-way ticket to a bad trip.

So when you're just walking around and suddenly your world starts warping and distorting around you and you don't know why, I can see this as being an extremely frightening experience. And then the fear turns it into a bad trip, and then you're stuck that way for hours on end.

Not cool.

I think if my world started warping I would go "Hmm I bet I'm on LSD" or I would assume the world was ending. I don't think it would be a pretty outcome either way.

Personally, something like this entertains me and I can get a good laugh out of it. Now I'm the prime of the "straight-edge" type of people, but undergoing such a change in my world, unknowing of its origin or cause, I think I'd have fun with it. Sure I'd be tripping balls but still, seeing "dragons coming from the ceiling" would be rather entertaining and I'd just stand, staring at the ceiling, drooling all over with my mouth gaping, in the middle of class as my teacher was yelling at me to sit down. Haha, I'd point at a light and say "pretty bird" and proceed to pet the air.
