Everyone who said "do something outside" is exactly right. If there's a nice area near where you are, like a park or a field or something, go out and enjoy it. Bring a football, or a frisbee, and potluck picnics are always fun! When it gets dark, lay on a blanket and stargaze.
@OP: it all depends on what you like to do. If you're a geek, like myself, bring a PSP/DS, or a laptop (pray to the heavens you can get internet =\). If you're more of an outdoorsman, bring some sports equipment (a football, etc.) and some hiking gear, and enjoy the scenery.
Also, bring a camera. When I'm up in the mountains, my favorite thing to do is take pictures. I usually take a gigabyte or two's worth of photos ;D
Sometime, I should dig up my old Mt. Hood shots and share them here.

Hey, TDK, you guys allowed to have paintball guns up there? Because that opens up a whole new chapter in this book...
Edit: Of course, ignored as usual...

Oh my, I can't believe I suggested hiking over paintball. I revoke my previous statement and reassert with play paintball, then play more paintball, and finish with some paintball. It really does make for some awesome stories and memories. Hell, I remember my first game of paintball something like 10 years ago now. Whew, how time flies.
But, then again, going into basic may make you not want to to paintball OR hiking. You'd really have to find something all your friends dig as much as you do and just do it. I'm sure you'd know better than any of us what that thing is.
I would agree with what most people have said. Any outdoor activity is always good. Paint ball and Ultimate Frisbee are pretty fun to play with small groups I would say, from experience. If you are video game prone, Guitar Hero and Rock Band are nice choices, but usually leaves someone out of the loop. If you have anywhere near you that you actually COULD do this, white water rafting is pretty fun. Just anything really.
