What are your opinions on them? Like them, hate them, love them? This subject got brought up earlier in the FFR chat and I think it deserves a topic about it. Personally myself, I dispise them and think they're gross, and tanlines are even worse X_X

i dislike tanning personally, the idea of nuking ur skin isnt appealing to me in anyway. that and im a bit bias, cuz my irish self cant get one... unless you mean lobster red when u say tan... :-/

I don't like freakishly white if it's unnatural. Some people are naturaly pale and they look fine. Same goes with too tan; although I usually have less toleration for overly-tanned people than overly-untanned, because you have to go out of your way to become very tan.

I think I got my point across without confusing everyone.

Tans are alright, but the white goth chick looks seski, like, uber seksi. I went to the beach for 6 hours without a shirt on or sun screen and I got burnt so bad that if you put an ice cold rag on me, in two minutes it would be hot, I tried, it was cold, I got alotta water blisters on my back..... So i took a towel and rubbed it really fast and broke them all, it was disturbing. My skin that peeled on my shoulders was a bit thicker than a finger nail, a thick finger nail. The only good thing I got outta the was a couple days off school and a tan.

my sister had something similar happen, she went into a fake bake cancer bed for 20 minutes after not having gone in over a yr... she came out well... nuked... and peely... and bubbly... and unable to move... it was rather disgusting.

I personally think people should just be their natural skin color. I mean I'm not all "SUPER NATURAL GUY OMGMGOFMF!!111" but I think it's gross when a girl that would normally be kind of a peachy white is dark with tan lines and crap. It's gross. For a good example of what I'm talking about, look at Pamela Anderson. Ugh. My tastes are a bit biased since I don't like blondes very much and I don't like tans very much either and I have a pale/pasty skin fetish (not too pale. It's disgusting after a certain level of white X_X). I mean regular skin is fine too, just not tanned, that's gross.

I have extremely high standards when it comes to looks, so I usually disregard them since my main concerns are about a person's character and personality.

Hm. I would rather people just stick with what nature gave them. I'm not a big fan of changing my hair color/piercing everything/trying to get a tan. Just live with what you have, I think most people would be happier then.

I like a natural tan. It's nice to know that someone actually spends a little time in the sunlight (which is hypocritical of me...but that's beside the point =) )
But yeah, fake tans and extreme tans can be very unnatractive.
