Well if he's only a semi-friend, and he isn't threatening to take you with, leave him be. If he really wants to do it, there are endless ways for him to go about doing it so there isn't any use fighting it. Does he have any mental disorders?

They're not useless. If there were no police do you think that you would sleep easy at night knowing someone could come in, burgle your house, perhaps kill someone and then not ever get caught.

Is there something in his life bothering him at the moment? I honestly think the cops did all they could do in that situation.

On another note, that's nothing compared to what the cops have done around here. Recently there's been a ton of bar fights with the same guys that start the fights just at different bars. They're vicious, plain and simple. I happened to be at the bar the night they were attacking, throwing chairs and whacking the **** out of people with bats and what did the cops do when they got there? Opened the doors and let them out. It's all on the security camera too, pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

I'm more or less angry at the lack of common sense they have... It's not even that they didn't know where he was... it was that he was "suicidal" and said he was on the way back to the house, and with that they didn't do anything, just expected that I could call again. How would I be able to deter a suicidal rampage if that what he was planning. And that they went straight to the condo instead of where I said I was... -_-

Uh, they didn't go to where you said you were BECAUSE of common sense. Why would the cops go wandering off to some shady location where YOU are, when the problem is HIM? If he HAD gone on a suicidal rampage, it would have been better for the cops to go to the condo, so they did. That's where he was headed, right?

And No that's not where he was "heading." Read before you post. They couldn't send anyone UNTIL he ARRIVED. So he was already here. I left the condo to make the call specifically so he wouldn't hear me making it.

As for the suicidal rampage, he would have been able to start it cause they wouldn't send a unit out to intercept him while he was coming back to the condo.

Also they cannot intrude on the premises WITHOUT CONSENT OF SOMEONE WHO LIVES THERE(or if there is probable cause, which suicide isn't unless they hear it or other proof/warrant). So if I'm not there... then they cannot get in. So where's your shotty logic now? GTFO. Let the thread die... it's just an event that I wanted to share with the community.

You said before that you called the police WHILE he was out. So does that mean you made ANOTHER call after he arrived and told them you were somewhere else?

Your story is ALL over the place. You try to make an argument about the police not doing the job right, when it really looks like you are at fault in this whole situation. So if you're saying that in the end, the police really did arrive and went to the condo instead of the place you said you would be at; they did the right thing. YOU were wrong for not being there. What's the point of calling the cops and getting them to go somewhere where they need permission to enter if YOU ARE NOT THERE? It seems more as if you were scared of the guy holding a grudge against you for calling the cops rather than getting him the help he needed.
