How many People Share This Problem?

My brother and sister complain that when I play ffr songs such as Flight of the Bumble Bee, Vertex Beta, and other difficult songs that I hit the keys to hard. I play index and because of this I find it incredibly difficult to hit them quietly and still do well.

I also have an issue where no one who's in the same room as me likes my music selection so they complain and turn their up so loud that I’m forced to throw headphones on, and even then I have to keep it low enough volume so that I can hear my mom call me from downstairs.

Does anyone else share my problem?

I play with headphones anyway. Yeah, the anger about key-pounding is fairly common. Either get a quieter keyboard or just play when no one else is home/around. Not many other options, really.

I try to be as polite as possable, I get yelled at for using my headphones and when i don't they get mad. There's always someone home so that idea wouln't work. Plus i like being able to play 2 hours a day, it's what keeps my mind sharp.

i always use headphones lol unless no ones in the house

and no one cares about the key pounding

my mom doesnt care about what i listen to and my brothers and sisters like it xD

i turn the volume like all the way up while using headphones so they can hear it regardless xD

No, I got a theater system with surround sound AND subwoofers, usually playing Ffr with 73% volume. The wall shakes from the volume.
Oh they complain alright, but I won't hear them, they usually respect and like my taste in electronica

When I'm forced to use my earphones, I usually just stick in one bud and leave the other one out. That way I can listen to the music and hear when someone's calling me.

I don't have this problem really.

Well, unless my dad is watching tv eating his supper in the living room beside my room, he asks me to turn it down.

Other then that, nobody in my family gives a ****

Actually, my mom never complains. It's usually my dad when he's watching the Raptor's (lol only good Toronto team playing now). In fact, even now he hates it when I play drums on Rock Band as well.

I live alone with my sister, and we both like the exact same thing, so no problems here.
