I'm not sure if you would find a converter for that, as for .app files and .exe files are made in different formats. They are too different to be converted.

I think.
That's what I was referring to in the link I posted. In there it says that .sis(.app) files aren't applications like most people think. Therefore, you wouldn't be able to convert it into a .exe
I could be wrong though, because I'm still a comp noob.
A .app file is liek a Mac's .exe file. Out of the box windows will never run it. THere may be a 3rd party application that could emulate it but I am not sure of it. Does the program you are trying to use have a windows version? If so just get that.
i found 3 diff uses of .app alphacam, Arcpad, and visual objects. Are you using any of these 3?

Wait, I'm confused. Are you saying that .exe is exclusive for Mac? I have Windows, and that is pretty much the only file regarding this topic that I use for programs. I have never run an .app file on my computer.

He means .app is exclusive for mac.
Jesus CC is dumb.

"Hey Foil. What's that you got there?" inquired Keywii.
"Oh, just my cock." Replied Foil.
"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.

You can think of what he said as saying ".app is the Mac equivalent of the .exe file used by Windows"
To use an example off the top of my head, you could say something like "Bridget's like my Venus" (Venus used in the Roman goddess sense). That isn't to say that Venus is necessarily related to "me," but rather, it draws a comparison between Venus and Bridget.
Also, I'm not talking about the infamous Internet meme Bridget; it was the first thing that popped into my head. I have no idea why.
ninjaKIWI: ELRayford meant that programs using the .app file format cannot be run natively on Windows, just like programs meant for Macs (.dmg, as djshox rightly pointed out, by the way) cannot be run natively on Windows.
.app is the program format used for Symbian OS, a popular mobile operating system used mostly in Europe. The format Dimitri13 pointed out, .sis, is merely the source installation file for the .app program file which is what is actually run.
The only way to run .app on Windows (it can't be converted to .exe) is to emulate it using the SDK released by Symbian, and I can't be bothered to figure out how it works at the moment (or download and install it, really).
To the OP: you should check your sources and make sure it really is a .app file. Do you have a Symbian phone or something?
