    Computer Upgrade

    Aloha gentlemen.

    Every 1.5 years or so, I get a new gaming rig. It's not quite time yet, but I'm starting to save up now, and I want to know what everyone's opinion is.

    Right now I currently have (from memory)

    Case: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Product...14869(ME).aspx
    Mobo-hobo: MSI neo (not sure specifically)
    Video: Ge-Force 8800 GTS 640 MB
    Power Supply: 600ish watt
    CPU: 1.9ghz dual core

    That's all I really care to list, it's an okay computer, I have a few extra lights/fans, a cathode tube on the side and such. But it's getting to be about that time where it's gonna be out of date. Any suggestions on the specs for a new one?

      Well you have the same video card as me and I think its pretty cool >_>
      Them GeForce 9's are about to come out and those'll be pretty great 8)

          1) How much RAM, and what OS?

          2) If you have an SLI mobo, get an SLI card.

          3) Get a 2.4-2.6 dual core.

          IMO, there's no need to upgrade that at all. It's fine the way it is.

          Oh, and wait for the GForce 9000 series to come out...

              Get a Quad core, it's much more expensive, but it'll be better in the long run.
              And make sure you get 4G + of RAM.


              And if your going to go for the 9 series, wait 4 months. It will go down in price by like 500. xD

                  2 gigs of muskin 6400 for ram, and I'm running XP, the smart thing to do

                  ALso, will do with the 9 series
