I recently watched a documentary on TV that said that all those "scientific studies" aren't really serious ones. On top of that, as I spend a lot of time playing FFR as well as other rythm games, then I should be some kind of genius by now!! But I'm not.

Playing that kind of game might somehow make it easier to learn for some people, but I know some people who play(ed) as much as I do and who got the worst marks ever at school, because they did not study. You wanna get better at reading? Then read more. You suck at math? Then do more exercices! There's no such simple answer as "playing rythm games will make you smarter". I so wish it were true, though .

Well obviously just playing the game won't increase your intelligence. The study outlines the research that believes playing these types of games improve your ability to learn, retain, and process information better.

For me, I've actually done better remembering forumulas and functions in math in these past years playing FFR and DDR, although I'm already greatly skilled with those. So maybe this study has some truth in helping retain information and improving a person's mental capacity, even by a minor margin.

FFR is a revolution. my high school is a proven example. i started playing and it spread like a common cold. on a side note. the common cold spread through my high school. ucky!

i didnt need research to tell me that, ffr is like playing a really dumb kind of instrument, however without the volume you are making a beat with a tempo and sound to please which is the definition of music, so you can also argue that you're making music while playing FFR also :P
i dont see these benefits, because i cant see, because of ffr i wear my glasses more often, woo
