    Back To the Old Days!

This is an idea based off of my US2 class back in high school i noticed alot of our economy is based off the fact we import everything almost: a fancy suit, from italy, a nice car, japan, good music, britan, children toys, thats china

These days and for the past few decades we rely on the eastern world to supply us and i was thinking if that could be a problem our economy that americans dont buy american products anymore that the concept of an american made automobile or toy or even our own music and dressware and all being overran by outsourced nations and feeding their economies and our government just gets the tax off that

my proposal is simple but a push for more american products and put the money back in our country

now this idea i am trying to think on how to put in better words but and will be posted in the forums but i want imput not flamming

    I agree with you.

In my human geography class, we discussed a plan such as this for the failing economy that will eventually (if it hasn't already) fall into recession. Instead, the govt. is planning to give money out for us to spend on crap to get the economy back rolling again. Of course, this will not work. But, basing more products from the U.S. will.

Importing is a good thing. The problem with the American economy is that we're lazy as a people, but expect more money for doing less. This is why there's such a huge outsourcing deal with large corporations and China or India.

Labor needs to cheapen in order for American made goods to be viable. Why pay $50 for a shirt they can make in Mexico for $5?

Another problem, is actually finding american companies to make this **** i was trying to point out that other countries are literally bankiing off the fact that we dont make our own **** and we dont export nearly enough to make up for it and american companies are put out of business by companies not based in the us
