          Re: Nerf gun users?

This is where I found the instructions... Follow the link to NERFHAVEN.COM

          Here are some tips...

1.) Do not leave your gun (Spring loaded types) c.ocked (loaded) for to long because it can messup the spring

2.) If your gun is airpowered (pump and fire) then don't leave it pressurized for too long because the parts that hold the air are constantly under pressure and can rupture and cause injuries.

3.) make sure that you have ALL required supplies to take on the project because sometimes if you leave parts alone to go get certain things the gun can break. for example...The Maverick REV 6's (Revolver) interchangable barrel mod. The expanding foam part.

4.) take your time. sometimes for a mod to work it takes FLAWLESS work.

5.) Mods might hinder the guns capabilities example:

Unmodded Gun fires Distance: 35 feet, Accuracy: Perfect

Modded Gun fires Distance: 67 feet, Accuracy: depends on total distance (Flawed)

You might give up SOME accuracy for extra range.

6.) Careful!!!. Some mods call for special tools where you might lose a finger or something just like you would with any other tool if you are not careful . In other words (Slow Down, Take your time, Do it right!)

7.) Patience. Sometimes certain parts can be furusterating.

8.) careful with modded guns. Sometimes they mught become unsafe because when you mod a gun you somethimes have to add parts to the gun that add tention to the frame so when you load it, it could break and become a hazard.

It goes to show, with enough time, anything can be made into a hobby.

Interesting though, I used to like nerf guns as a child but never got any, I had to rely on the super soaker's. Now I want my childhood back

My childhood would've been incomplete without the battles i used to have in my backyard with nerf guns. This thread wins for nastalgia.

Its only common knowledge and common sense if a person is constantly around said thing. Intelligence is measured in more then one way, a person who lives life on the street is going to have more common sense and common knowledge about that street then the average person, a person who plays a video game, is going to have more common sense, and common knowledge about that video game then the average person.

/shrug, what seems common to you, may be never heard of by others.

Well actually that is the thing. I hear this from SO MANY PEOPLE. and also you WOULD expect that if something is under a LOT of pressure...then it CAN present a possable hazard therefor it is only commom sense just lkike others...*sigh*

Oh you where talking about safety issues. I thought you meant the idea of modifying a gun. Well yes of course thats common sense lol.

All I'm interested in is my hundred year old Tippman '98 Custom paintball gun.

That and those awesome pump water guns.
The weight of what I say depends on how you feel.
