Who else has ever had this file randomly go missing? I ****ing hate Vista. I can't start up my laptop. I tried installing Windows XP. It said it couldn't find the HARD DRIVE.
I tried installing Windows Vista Ultimate so I could try installing Windows XP. It gets 3/4 of the way through, and says I have to restart the whole damn installation process again because it "can't restart properly." No ****, Sherlock. I try it again, no good. One more time, just for good measure. It won't even START the installation. Because there wasn't enough room on the hard drive. I looked, it said 2.3 GB available, yet, before I began the first one, over 12 gb were available. IT DIDN'T DELETE ITS ****ING FILES.
So, the question I want answered, is should I "accidentally" drop it from a really high place and send it back to them, (still under warranty), or try to fix it myself by ordering a recovery disc?
Note: I've talked to Tech Support 3 times now. The only thing that they think MIGHT work, is ordering the recovery disc.
EDIT: I remembered that my laptop is known for it's water-proof keyboard. It was tested in an issue of Popular Science with an entire bot of hot coffee with sugar and creamer in it, and all that happened was the mouse pad and mouse nub stopped working.

2.4 ghz dual processor and 2 gb ram. It was so fast. I bet it'll be 10x's faster with XP.
