I saw Harper earlier, she's out of the hospital already. She's, amazingly, up and walking. She has multiple scrapes, cuts, and lacerations, some glass in her face, and her spleen is torn up, but that's the most of the damage. She greeted me with a smile, but as soon as I gave her a hug she burst into tears.
I suppose you're too much in shock to even cry, eh?
I've dealt with a lot of death. A lot.
I saw the aftermath of my friend's motorcycle accident before medical crew got there in November. It was one of the most gruesome things I had ever seen, but I had grown so used to seeing things like this that I feel sorrow for about a half hour and then just move into shock/acceptance. It's harsh but it's just something that happens with me I guess.
Sorry to hear you lost a friend, but there's always a dumbass who doesn't respect the limit and then this happens.. If it wasn't him, it would've been someone else.
Damn, Spazz. I really feel ya it's a terrible thing to happen. Similar story to two of my good friends with whom I went to school who lost their lives in a car accident (the guy was even a boyfriend of one of my close girl friends) :\.
"However, there have been some highly publicized fatal accidents this year, including the one on Oct. 6; an Oct. 11 accident in which 18-year-old Heather N. Allen of Old Bridge was struck and killed while crossing Route 18 on foot; and an Easter Sunday crash on Route 18 that took the lives of Jon Mustafa, 18, and Lesley Carness, 16, both East Brunswick natives. "
It's really a sad loss losing a friend. Wish you all a good recovery.

I guess that's a good thing, the way you deal with it. Though, your reaction could be different depending on the person, I think.
