Serious life threatening decision here

I'm indecisive on what my avatar should be at the moment. I've found a couple decent pictures that could be avatar worthy. So I leave it to the people. Vote for your favorite avatar here, and if I see a clear winner that one will become my new avatar.

Hmm, regarding the manticores...

#1
-Most refined
-Wings and tail well done
-Facial features are somewhat grotesque
-A bit too much contrast on the top of the mane
-Slightly off-balance posture gives off a subtle hint of insecurity

#2
-Charming fantasy feel
-Granular texture
-Atypical tail
-Too vertical for an avatar (unless you decide to cut it)

#3
-Best pose
-Physique and demeanor well done
-Wings could have been better
-Background is slightly rough at parts
-Most recognizable (at least by veterans)

Anyways...

#1 and #3 are the best for avatars, imo. If you go with #1, though, I'd suggest filling the background with the same color as the user panel, so that it doesn't have that pasted image feel.

Not to affect the final decision, but I feel the first manticore is really dark, and most of it in in shadow.

Also, If someone with photoshop would be so kind as to give #1 the same finish as the user panel?

Yeah, concerning effects/feelings/etc. conveyed to me by the images:

#1 - dark, hostile, ominous

#2 - vigilant, poised, stately

#3 - formidable, powerful, invigorated

I like the first one, but I think it would look better either with a transparent background or some neutral coloured textured background. I dunno, and just don't like the white background, but it's ok.

what I do is take a screenshot of the forums with my image somewhere in there, and then I can use paint to use that dropper thing and I get the exact same color and just fill it in.

takes a little time, but it works
