I'm a little angry right now.
I just spent the past hour doing two chemistry problems.
The most bull**** problems that the ****ing authors could spit out. Its like they just wanted to make you bleed out of your asshole because you need to pour over their goddamn problems for so long.
Let me give you the last one I just finished.
8.63
Using bond enthalpies, estimate delta H for each of the following reactions:
(The italisized #'s are supposed to be subscripts)
A. 2NBr3(g) + 3F2(g) ----> 2NF3(g) + 3Br2(g)
B. CO(g) + 2H2(g) ----> CH3OH(g)
C. H2S(g) + 3F2(g) ----> SF4(g) + 2HF(g)
OK! Now let me walk you through one of these bad boys.
First you need to use the periodic table to count up valance electrons in each equation in order to make lewis structures.
THEN, you need to make sure each lewis structure is following the octect rule by adding double and triple bonds where you need to.
THEN the ****ing problem requires to calculate and add up all of the ****ing bond enthalpies in the problem in order to see which side has more.
Finally after determining wheter it is endo or exothermic, you can calculate the MOTHER****ING ****-SUCKING DONKEY RAPING OVERALL BOND ENTHALPY!
.
.
.
As you can see, I am a little worked up from doing so many of these problems. Figured FFR should know.
