laptop trouble

Got a new laptop for christmas, and every time I try to play FFR, there's a huge lag spike a few times throughout the songs I play.

Anything I can do?

Happens on my laptop too but only when playing SM, and not as bad but was still noticeable. I think it's just your laptops specs and so there should be a logical way to fix it but I don't know offhand I'm afraid.

I don't know if it's just new updates being installed or something, but the spikes sometimes fail me on songs. Check some of my playback videos, I'm not sure if it shows on there though.

New computer, you say? Hmm.

No idea.. but that's odd. I played FFR on a new Dell with XP before, and it was absolutely fine.
