Re: Barry Bonds: Indicted
I'm really not sure what to think about Barry Bonds right now. I WANT to believe he didn't know he was taking steroids but i guess there is some evidence that says he knew about it?
If he did take steroids, then he should be ashamed of himself. if not, everyone should honor the legendComment

Re: Barry Bonds: Indicted
there were i think 4 counts of perjury and each carries a sentence of up to 5 years. im a giants fan myself and dont want to think he took steroids, but its kind of hard to deny he did.IF I CAN CLIMB A TREE, I CAN CLIMB MT EVEREST. IF I CAN DRIVE A CAR, I CAN PILOT A SPACE SHUTTLE. IF I CAN PEE, I CAN BE THE PRESIDENT. IF I CAN POO, I CAN RULE THE WORLD!Comment

Re: Barry Bonds: Indicted
Yes...but if you had listened to what they were talking about on SC, this is his first offense, its highly unlikely he is getting pegged with 30 years, theres a chance he wont get hit with anything, who knows. Even if he took roids, he was still better than all the people that took roids anyway, so in essence, he is still one of the greatest players no matter what happens

Except he cheated, which makes him automatically worse than any non-cheating player."A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor

Re: Barry Bonds: Indicted
sexyinpink, i guess you dont listen to sports news much. you just assume he did it. he probably did take steroids, but what new evidence couldve they gotten in those past several years? they say they have new evidence but have yet to see any. many others in the sports world have cheated and you dont see asterisks or them being locked up. jose canseco in his book said that about 80% of other sports players were testing drugs so why not put asterisks through 80% of the records or lets just throw them in jail. also, i dont see what more steroids testing will do. the random ones are just fine.
what sickens me more is that this justice system has more time for these high-profile athletes and spend less time on others.IF I CAN CLIMB A TREE, I CAN CLIMB MT EVEREST. IF I CAN DRIVE A CAR, I CAN PILOT A SPACE SHUTTLE. IF I CAN PEE, I CAN BE THE PRESIDENT. IF I CAN POO, I CAN RULE THE WORLD!Comment

Perjury and obstruction of justice? I'm glad to hear of an indictment, but I don't have too much faith in a conviction after Clinton was somehow able to avoid it.

Amen. He souldnt hold any record IMO. The players of the 1960s rule. Mantle and Hank Aaron are wwaaayyyy betterExcept he cheated, which makes him automatically worse than any non-cheating player.
