Re: Is There Any Risk To Reformatting?
What do you mean "Special Data"? And would I do that by saving it to a disk?Comment

Re: Is There Any Risk To Reformatting?
Well, when you reformat, all the data is lost. ALL OF IT.
So if you want to keep maybe a special photo, or a project, you'll want to save it to a disk, jump drive, floppy(?), or any other means before reformatting. Other than that, there is no risk of physically damaging your hard drive during the process.Comment

Ok. I've got none of that. So I guess it's all good, then.
Thx.Comment

Re: Is There Any Risk To Reformatting?
Just make sure you have your OS install disc handy, and are willing to wait several hours for the drive to actually format. It takes a while to do, but there isn't much that you actually have to do once it gets started.Comment
