What was it called?

When I was about 6 or 8 years old, I remember I watched this one cartoon where there was this skinny wimpy-looking idiot in a skin-tight hero suit and it was in space or something. Anyways, this princess lady always gets captured and the wimpy kid has to go save him, except he's a wimp and a coward. But whenever he gets in a fix, these brainwave things would come out of his forehead (think Aquaman), and he'd turn into this ridiculously biff hero that kicked tons of ass, and then after a while he would transform back.
I cannot, for the love of my soul, think of this cartoon's name.
Anyone remember it?

Nope. Its was future-y stuff, and it had a drawing style much different of Doug.

Never mind. I did this request on another forum, the cartoon is called Space Ace.
Its much more horrible than I remember.
