    On profile chat, why does it say "This username is already taken."?

        Yeah, it generally means someone got your password and is using it to make a fool of you in chat.

              Well how do i make this not so? Ive tried logging out and closing windows. I log back in and nothings changed. (Sorry if im being incredibly ignorant >.<)

                  it is either caused by being on multiple profiles at once OR by you being diconnected from the chat server while inside, and getting your username "Stuck".

                  in the 1st case, just close your other profile windows. in the 2nd case, you should be able to wait about 30 minutes and you'll get kicked out for inactivity.

                    First off, no, it won't be another user logged in with your username

                    Likely one of 2 things happened. You either have the chat open in another window and logged into it already.

                    Or you were disconnected from the internet briefly and it takes some time to reset the connection.
