Going into surgery for wisdom teeth...

... sometime between August 8th and the 27th. I just talked to my dad and he said that I'll be having an appointment on August 8th to discuss how I will get my wisdom teeth extracted and when the surgery will be. We're trying to have the surgery before school starts on August 27th. How many wisdom teeth you may ask are being removed? Four of them. It'll be a long time away from work...sounds good.

anyway, back on topic. i heard getting them out sucks, but once the pain goes away its purty rockin. the drugs they give you..

I got mine out in December, it hardly hurt a bit. I didn't even take any pain meds. after the first day because they made me feel all weird and I hate that. Anyways, don't worry about it, it'll be a piece of cake.

4 all at once? That's harsh, I got 2 on one side then a month later 2 on the other. I was able to eat on the non aching side... but good luck for you. XD

I seem to have really slow-emerging teeth. I'm close to 21 now and only just now am getting a wisdom tooth starting to rear its ugly head. For years, the last of my regular molars were just kinda chillin' half-emerged from the gums and decided to teethe a bit more every once in a blue moon.

I was awake when I had two of mine taken out.

I don't see why everyone makes such a huge deal about it.
Why do you need to be put under to remove them?

Freezing worked just fine for me.

Ehh they are not that bad. My problem with them was i had a bad reaction to the medicine they used to help me go to sleep. First before I passed out it felt like my arm was on fire and when I woke up I was just shaking and screaming for some reason. The drugs they give you help if you need em but some people just don't need em.

They're not bad at all unless your wisdom teeth are at weird angles or something. I had all 4 taken out two summers ago... I think... don't remember...
