I just got a used DDR machine for somewhere around $3000
And what I want to do is open a arcade in my basement. I could charge like half prices and I would rake in the bling. Imagine the DDR pwnage I would get on random passerbyes. I have like 4 TVs and quite a few systemes so I could like setup some kind of fps multiplayer booth shit which would be tight as hell. I'm already setting up. It'll be some tight shit.

Um.. It's Max2 me and my best friend snotched it from Ebay from about 3.5 G's, I am not old enough to own a firearm, My friends have all been to my "Arcade", I live in Illinois and that's about it. Oh, and I change 25cents a play

Im going to get a machine soon as I get my job Which is soon hopefully..all proceeds of work = DDR extreme machine ( and drum set )

i'm just going for a one of those metal pads off the one place with the heavy metal pads, (high octane or something, i really don't care cause i have it written down somewhere)

and then i'll just wait for the games to come out, lots cheaper then buying an acual machine.

and if you start yammering about how the sound is better, we have a home entertainment center with full blown surround sound, its sweet.

hmm.. a DDR machine isn't really high on my list of shit to buy/save up for.. the only reason i would buy one is for the resale.. try and buy on REAL cheap (1.5 - 2k) in a busted condition.. fix it up.. and re-seall it for mad profit (4k- 6k).. that would be nice.. but other than that.. im not going to be getting a DDR machine.

I'm pretty sure you need a license to do that if you're going to bring in the public to play.

hmm... technically you could 'lend' possession of it to the people who come... it wouldnt be a business, and u can leave it on freeplay and tell the people to just 'lend' u the money... forever... u 'lend' them machine for 1-7 songs and they 'lend' you possession of the quarters forever
i think thats legal... its 'lending' not 'selling' so i really dont see anything wrong with it

and where do u live? if u live near me i would like to visit your 'arcade' very much (50 cents O_O sweetness...)

sry if 50 cents isnt the amount youll be letting people play for, u just said 'half price' and all the places i kno charge 1.00/1.25... well except 1 place... my house, i play for free but i only have max1 for ps2... i have an arcade pad tho (not a metal one, an arcade one, it has a bar) to complete the arcade experience

Ok this confuses me...usually pads that have actual bars are made of metal...What's your pad made of?
