I got a message EXACTLY like the one below:

This is a message from the friendly Panel over in the Garbage Bin. If you've gotten a PM like this from a different Panel member recently, then you can stop reading now. If not, read on.

You have received a Garbage Bin Ban. What this means is you may NOT post in the Garbage Bin for one month - ending exactly 30 days after you get this PM, on the 5th of August.

What for, you may ask? Well, since the Garbage Bin is a place of humor, we, the Panel, do our best to root out any of the less funny frequenters so that they can take a time-out to clear their heads and get into the spirit of TGB.

Know that nothing will stop you from posting in the Garbage Bin, but if you do during the duration of your ban you will recieve a FIVE DAY FULL FORUM BAN. We do this not to taunt you, but to let you read the posts in the Garbage Bin so that you have an idea of how to be a good (and more importantly, funny) contributor to the Garbage Bin.

You shouldn't have any questions, but in case you do, read this thread.

Now i don't know if this is a bad prank or not, (I DO ASSUME IT IS BECUASE THIS ISN'T A MOD WHO SENT IT TO ME), but i think it's total BS cuase i hardly even post in the garbage bin. If this is true and not a prank I WILL SERVE MY PUNISHMENT (In capitals so no one takes me the wrong way.) But i'd like a mod to clarafy(SP?) this for me if i'm banned or not.

But for the entire pure joys of it i'm gunna try to point out what i belive are the flaws of this:

1. I think i have a great sence of humor.
2. I can easily post with my one alternative account.
3. These aren't being sent by some one of importance (In my mind) So they need to have a mod or someone that i can see has a point of authority send this out.

its probably some prank if a mod didn't send it. i went to his profile and sure enough he isn't a mod. There's another person on his profile thats asking if the garbage bin counts as all forums so i think that he also got the same message.

Alright i just didn't want to get a 5 day ban from the fourms so i'm gunna report this if an admin hasn't seen it yet.

Umm yeah the reason you got that message is that you posted something that wasn't funny in the GBin and they GBin banned you. It's not a prank, just don't post in the GBin for a month.

I can't believe you just made a thread complaining about a GBan instead of PMming a moderator to get your question answered. Hell, every response up to TwilightPrincess's has been 100% wrong.

Did you even read the thread to which you were linked? If you did, you would be certain that that is NOT a joke. There are two moderators on the Panel, and Fish even created it.

Aperon is someone of importance because he's on the Panel (which, I assume, you didn't know because you didn't read the thread).

Serve out your month ban, or you WILL be full-forum banned for five days.
