I just got Quake 4 for my computer.
I've installed it, downloaded the newest version of DirectX and when I click on play, it loads like it's going to start ( entire screen goes black for a few moments ) then it goes back to my desktop and the game completely closes.
Apparently I need 512MB of RAM, and my computer says it's only running 504.
I think it has something to do with my video card not being updated enough...
It says something about a 3D hardware Accelerator Card, which I've never heard of.
I've never had any problems like this before when trying to play a game.
I really hate to sound like such an idiot about it, but I really don't know that much about video/sound cards and the like.
Would I need to purchase more up to date cards?
