Other hand occupations

I was just wondering what other types of things people do such as pen spinning, speedcubing, juggling, etc. Basically I figure that FFR is the sort of thing that takes a fair bit of hand dexterity so there must be at least a moderate interest in these sorts of things.

(And would it be possible for Synth to change the dictionary so that FFR isn't a spelling error?)

Edit: I guess that speedcubing would also be a good test of hand speed/dexterity

If you're talking about Word, you can highlight it and tell it to "Learn" FFR so it won't be seen as a spelling error anymore. In fact I think you can do that with pretty much any program that has a spellcheck feature.

"FFR" showing up as a spelling error is a Firefox thing. IE users don't see that. I'm fairly certain if you right click on the offending word you can opt to add it to your browser's dictionary.

I never would have thought of that. It wasn't that it bothered me I just thought it somewhat ridiculous that FFR was a spelling error on its own site. Of course this was based on me thinking that the spell check was part of vBulletin or something along those lines.

Yes in FireFox you can add to dictionary. And I "pen spin" which is just doing tricks with pens/pencils with my fingers. I have 7 hours to practice during the school year.

I do nothing else to train my fingers...but I seem to play FFR pretty well

What sort of tricks do you know? I was lucky enough to be on UPSB before it closed and then I was active on UCPSB for a while. Its a good waste of time at school, but I find that modding pens takes a little too much time.

I play flute, piano and guitar alot. I guess that sorta counts. I could never get the hang of Juggling. Or pen spinning. It seems impossible to me.

Oh ya, I trill my pens in class, like around my thumb and like a drumstick, but that doesn't really boost dex

Yeah I was thinking more along the lines of real pen spinning for that category. I know there is a guy on the boards here who is one of the best (in my opinion) pen spinners in the world. His name is eriror, and you could just look at some of his youtube videos to get an idea what I mean.
