Re: Paris Hilton
What I'm saying is that I feel she deserves to serve her whole jail time, but true - if I could do anything to get out of it I would. I agree with what you are saying. As an example, a man who had been in jail over 20 years for the armed robbery of $171 appealed and got released because he was sentenced before the Fair Sentencing Act. Serving the entire time might be a more effective reality check for her, though I seriously doubt she will stop doing any of the things she has been doing upon release.
Jelly and Pureblood - I'm curious as to why you hate Paris Hilton?Comment

I don't hate her, it's just the fact that I never see any good news surrounding her. What I'm saying is that I feel she deserves to serve her whole jail time, but true - if I could do anything to get out of it I would. Re: Paris Hilton
Well, I may not hate her, but I do hate seeing her on the news.
I know it's pathetic, but you know that many humans use "hate" instead of "have a great degree of dislike towards."Comment

Third Time Offender within Five Years with a BAC between .08-.15%
Felony
Mandatory $400 fine
One to three years in jail
Two to three years license suspension
Alcohol or drug treatment
Ignition interlock device for up to two years after sentence is completed
In Rhode Island, that is - I just took the first google result. It didn't have anything for above three DWIs.Originally posted by MalReynoldsit just goes with what I said

This just demonstrates that our country is one where high-profile people can get away with anything, while the public watches and is held to an entirely different standard.
USA ftl.
P.S. I don't keep track of the media, but didn't Paris make a sex tape, then sue somebody when it got "leaked" to the public? Perhaps I'm mistaken.Originally posted by MalReynoldsit just goes with what I said

Re: Paris Hilton
She had some leeway, >.<
I've heard that her sentence was originally 40+ days, but the judge shortened it.
/not surprised
Hah, when I saw this thread I laughed a little in my head.

Re: Paris Hilton
It was 45.
Read the post above yours.
Also, do you think the judge told Paris that she'd be out in three weeks just to (attempt to) calm her down?Comment
