Bad Grammer on FFR?

    Bad Grammer on FFR?

    I was on a friends page, and I noticed this:

    My mom is an English teacher, and it sort of bugs me, do you think we could fix this problem?

              i never really noticed...the only times that will ever happen are .01 years, and 1 years, so just don't worry about it.

                  This is really inconsequential when you look at everything on FFR. A lot of posts depict far more grammar errors than that one little mistake.

                  I mean there is an entire grammar thread and just look at how some people have posted in that thread.

                                                  And if your claim to the cultural elite is the fact that your mother is an English teacher, gtfo and get a little bit of culture and education, you witless f***. For the most part, English teachers tend to be at the bottom of the barrel, since they are usually English majors in college. And English majors, well... are usually the dim-witted ones.

                                                  The reason it says "1 years" is not because the FFR admin who programmed it cannot understand grammar, but because the number is all that is interchanged. It makes no difference to the rest of us, because we are all intelligent and well informed enough that we don't get all whiny about it. If it makes you more comfortable, an applicable translation would be "1 year(s)".

                                                  By the way, the second comma in your sentence should be a semi-colon. Glad to see that your excellent English-teaching mother has taught you so well.
